Trailers
Cyclops
I wanted a trailer for hauling my autocross tires that was simple, light, and didn't
take up much space when not in use. I had been thinking about the concept for
~ 2 years before actually building it. It plugs directly into a 1.25" square receiver
and relies on an industrial U-joint for constraint in the roll axis while having
freedom in the pitch and yaw axes. The first model shown above works great for
tires and I put over 1,000 miles on it one season.  The low profile tire on the
ground is actually a space saver spare.
