4. Jess and I attended the 3rd Opus Fantasy Arts Festival in Denver which
included a Robot Battles event managed by MURC and announced by Kelly
Lockhart. I entered DAGGER, CHISEL, and SCALPEL in the event and won
1st place in the 12 Pound and 3 Pound classes, and a tie for 4th in the one
pound class. Updates are available on the individual bot pages. Many thanks
to Ted Zeiger and Barry Anderson of MURC, Rion Berquist and Sage
Woodburn of Opus, and Kelly Lockhart of Robot Battles for a great event.
3. Updated CHISEL, DAGGER, and MACHETE to document the recent
victories at Robot Battles Greensboro 2005
2. Added a page for SCALPEL, my one pounder.
1. This is my first entry. I have been fooling around with robots for ~4.5 years
at this point and have just organized my first event. Robot Battles Greensboro
was held Sunday, March 13, 2005 at the Stellarcon Sci-Fi Fantasy convention
in Greensboro, NC. Picture galleries may be found by clicking on the following

The event was a great success for a 1st outing. We had 4 teams with a total
of 10 bots in 4 weight classes and an enthusiastic crowd of roughly 60 people.
We have been invited back for next year.
Teams and results may be found by clicking here.
Blade Robotics took first place each of 4 weight classes for a clean sweep of
the event.
The next outing for Blade Robotics will be the Rocky Mountain Showdown in
Denver at Opusfest May 22, 2005. I need to put together a 150g bot to hit all
classes at this arena event.
